Create your own designer series paper

Hello and happy Sunday – there’s something so satisfying when you create your own designer series paper simply by stamping on a piece of card stock with whatever stamp set and inks you have in your stash. I’ve used the Modern Garden bundle which has floral images, some sentiments in photopolymer and a coordinating punch called the Modern Oval punch. I didn’t use the punch in this project, but if you purchase the punch and stamps together as a bundle, it will save you 10%.

Cutting guide

1. Crumb Cake card base : ½ A4 sheet folded in half. In Europe/IE this measures 5 ⅞” x 8 ¼” (14.9 cm x 21 cm)
2. Poppy Parade mat layer : 3 ⅞”  x 5 ⅝” (9.8 cm x 14.3 cm)
3. Crumb Cake mat layer – stamp directly on this layer : 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm)
4. Inside card : Very Vanilla 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm)
5. Scrap of Very Vanilla for stamping/fussy cutting flower and leaves
6. Strip of Poppy Parade to stamp and emboss greeting

Method

Card front

1. Stamp several of each floral stamp of your choice randomly in Poppy Parade.
2. Fill in the flower centres with a selection from Modern Garden stamp set in Wild Wheat
3. Stamp leaves as desired also in Wild Wheat.
4. On scrap of Very Vanilla card stock, stamp the largest solid floral image by stamping off first so that you have a lighter shade of Poppy Parade.
5. Ink up the spiky flower centre and stamp full strength in Poppy Parade.
6. Stamp in Versamark the spotty flower centre and gold emboss, then fussy cut the completed flower.
7. Ink up the larger of the 2 pointsettia stamps in Wild Wheat on Very Vanilla card stock. Fussy cut some of the petals to use as leaves.
8. White emboss the greeting on a strip of Poppy Parade.
9. Arrange your flower and sentiment and adhere to card front with dimensionals.
10. Adhere stamped piece to Poppy Parade mat layer then adhere both pieces to card base leaving an even border all round.
11. Lastly add the Pastel adhesive-backed sequins to the flower centres.

Inside card

1. Stamp the cluster of flowers in Poppy Parade
2. Ink up the trio of leaves stamp in Wild Wheat and stamp as pictured.
3. Adhere stamped piece to inside of card leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
