Trifold card with Garden Meadow bundle

Today’s trifold card is made with the Garden Meadow bundle which is an online exclusive launched on 7 November 2023. The DSP (Designer Series Paper) comes in a 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) pack. The papers are stunning and I’m so pleased that there are 6 sheets of each design. The pack has fewer designs, 8 double-sided designs instead of 12. Consequently, they were able to supply 2 extra sheets of each design to make up 48 sheets in a pack.

This “thanksgiving” card is not traditional because I wanted to use the Meandering Meadows DSP so I chose a white card base and Pretty Peacock for my layers.

The Garden Meadow dies has an arched window die. I immediately thought of a trifold design so that you could view the scene beyond through garden gates to access the meadow.

Mirror technique

I’ve also used a mirror technique to stamp the gates. If you look through the arch on the reverse side, the back of the gates is visible and looks rather unfinished. Also colouring with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, the colour had bled through on the other side. To cover this up, I used the mirror technique to stamp a second pair of gates, coloured and glued it back to back. Problem solved! The mirror technique is demonstrated in the video – I’d have to write a tome if explaining it in words!

I love the 6″ x 6″ papers that coordinate with this bundle, but they were all summery scenes. However, there’s no reason why you can’t use it for a Thanksgiving card because I wanted to showcase this new online exclusive as it had just launched.

This is a view of the back of the trifold card, so you can see the front with the gates, the back which has a Pretty Peacock layer added to conceal the join for the 3rd panel which has DSP adhered to it.

If you’re waiting for the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP – good news, at time of writing, these gorgeous papers are back in stock! You can easily switch the. papers to make it look more autumnal, but I’m thrilled how this trifold card has turned out with the Meandering Meadow papers.
