Out with the old – Medley Mix

New Year’s Eve – out with the old – Medley Mix. I know I should have found time to make a new year type card, but it was panic stations because I’d invested in this stamp set called Medley Mix and hadn’t got round to inking it up yet. I already had the Ink & Tiled bundle which came with the Ink & Tiled Punch pack so thought that the Medley Mix would be a good addition. So, here’s a medley of cards before Medley Mix retires.

Boho Blue/Misty Moonlight Card

  1. Use the block stamp to stamp the whole of the front mat layer to create a patterned background
  2. Punched a 1 ¾” circle from More Dazzle 6″x 6″ specialty paper
  3. Embellish the card with 2023-2025 In Color dots and 2023-2025 In Color Jute
  4. Inks used – Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight

Beginners card

  1. This little card is from the Memories & More Cards & Envelops pack. Stamp the circular design directly on to the card with Bubble Bath ink.
  2. On a scrap of paper, stamp “hello friend” with the same colour ink – trim. Add dimensionals on back of sentiment and adhere to the card .

Casual Crafter card

  1. In the Memories & More Cards & Envelops pack, there are also some large cards which measure 4 ½” x 6 ½”. Additional card stock used is Berry Burst and Gorgeous Grape.
  2. Stamp 4 stitched stars in Fresh Freesia in bottom right half of the card front
  3. Die cut a Stitched circle with the second to smalles Stylish Shapes circle die.
  4. Use post-it note to mask half the stamp and the stamp, ink up with Gorgeous Grape ink, remove mask before stamping on Basic White card stock.
  5. Mask the stamped Gorgeous Grape half, clean stamp and ink up with Berry Burst and stamp to get this dual toned effect on the circular stamp.
  6. Die cut this circular image with the smallest Stylish Shapes circle die.
  7. Stamp “Congratulations” with Versamark on Berry Burst card stock, sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set.
  8. Then die cut with the narrow double end flag die from Stylish Shapes Dies set.
Inside card

I messed up, so I turned the card inside out so it could still be used but this meant that I had to cover up the messed up bit with a mat layer in Berry Burst and add an extra layer for stamping on.

  1. Cut a Berry Burst Mat layer 6″ x 4″ and adhere inside.
  2. Second mat layer in Basic White cut at  5 ¾” x 3 ¾”.
  3. Use the circular pattern stamp to stamp in the bottom left corner in Berry Burst ink.
  4. Clean stamp and ink up with Gorgeous Grape ink and stamp the opposite corner top right.
  5. Adhere to Berry Burst Mat layer and adhere both layers to card base.

Avid crafter – Soft Sea Foam card

  1. Stamp two each of the striped pattern and the stitched outline pattern with the cross-like stamps and punch out.
  2. Die cut a frame in Basic White card stock with the largest Radiating Stitches Die and adhere to the Soft Sea Foam card base.
  3. Assembled them in a grid-like formation on dimensionals on the Radiating Stitches Die cut frame.
  4. Use the circle pattern to stamp on Basic White card stock and punch out with a 1 ¾” circle punch.
  5. Stamp the cross-stitch pattern and zig zag pattern stamps on Soft Sea Foam card stock, trim and adhere behind circle.
  6. On a scrap of Basic White, stamp “happy birthday” and fussy cut. Adhere to Soft Sea Foam card stock and leave a ⅛” border and fussy cut that too.
  7. Adhere with glue dots on top of the circle.
  8. Stamp a variety of stitches at random on the frame.
