Flowers – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop

Flowers – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. This is the theme for the blog hop in March. Spring is on the horizon and the newly launched Online Exclusive called Simply Zinnias was the natural choice. It’s been a while since I attempted a fun fold technique, so I’ve incorporated the “curtain” effect fun fold into today’s card. Both stamp sets I’ve used including the pattern papers are Online Exclusives.

Curtain fold technique

  1. To create the curtain fold, cut a strip of patterned paper. I used a strip of the Flowering Zinnia 12″x 12″ ,(30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP cut at 3″ x 6″ (7.6 cm x 15.2 cm). Orient the paper so that the long side is at the top, score at 2″, 2 ¾”, 4”, 4 ¾” (5 cm, 7 cm, 10.2 cm, 12.1 cm).
  2. Mark 1″ (2.5 cm) down from top edge along the short side.
  3. Cut from the bottom right of 2″ (5 cm) score line to 1″ (2.5 cm) mark on short side.
  4. Fold in concertina fashion to create the curtain look.

The Tech 4 Stampers is a monthly subscription group run by Louise Sims. She mentors and enables members to understand IT jargon and equips them with a fountain of Technical knowledge to build or manage their own websites. It takes the mystery out of “tech” and I’ve certainly grown in confidence thanks to her expertise, patience and guidance. Not only that, I’ve met and made new friends with my fellow “Techs” and love the camaraderie within the group.
