Happy Mothering Sunday to all the Mums out there and remembering Mums who are angels in heaven too. I’m sharing a clean and simple card today, using up some of the papers which were free during Sale-a-bration. If you took advantage of getting some freebies during Sale-a-bration, then you would have seen the gorgeous Softly Stippled 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP. These papers coordinated with the Stippled Roses Bundle I used for my card.
Stippled Roses card front
I covered the whole of the front of my Basic White card base with the now retired Sale-a-bration Softly Stippled 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP. You can use alternative current DSP in lieu if you don’t have these papers.
The canvas effect made a nice backdrop for the roses which was stamped in Pebbled Path ink. I die cut some leaves and inserted them behind the roses and stamped the sentiment directly onto the DSP.
As a finishing touch, I added some Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls.
Inside card
I cut a Basic White mat layer 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 x 14 cm) and stamped the single rose and leaves in the bottom right corner in Pebbled Path Ink. As the card is usually busy on the front, I tend to keep the inside simple. It leaves you plenty of room to pen a message.
