Create a card without images, just words for Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop in May. Eek! I freaked out because I’ve never done anything like this before. To create a card without images, just words is quite a challenge. I hope I met the brief, so here is my card.
I used More Wishes and Heartfelt Hexagon stamp sets. Something old with something new – my new is the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder and some new In Colors for 2024-2026.
The Tech 4 Stampers is a monthly subscription group run by Louise Sims. She mentors and enables members to understand IT jargon and equips them with a fountain of Technical knowledge to build or manage their own websites. It takes the mystery out of “tech” and I’ve certainly grown in confidence thanks to her expertise, patience and guidance. Not only that, I’ve met and made new friends with my fellow “Techs” and love the camaraderie within the group.
Card front
I’ve used two of the new 2024-26 In Colors – Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop. For the third colour, I chose Bubblebath and stamped “Love” from More Wishes on Basic White card stock. Then I embossed it with the new size Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder to add texture.
As a focal point, I stamped a sentiment on Sweet Petunia card stock and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch.
Inside card
I cut a strip of Basic White and embossed it with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the inside Basic White Mat layer. I cut a ⅛” strip of Sweet Petunia card stock and adhered it above the embossed Basic White strip.
Cutting guide
- Card base : Pretty in Pink 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
- Mat layer #1 card front : Sweet Petunia 5 ½” x 3 ¾” (14 cm x 9.5 cm)
- Basic White Mat layer #2 card front : 5 ⅜” x 3 ⅝” (13.5 cm x 9 cm)
- Inside card Basic White : 5 ½” x 3 ¾” (14 cm x 9.5 cm)
- Scrap of Sweet Petunia for stamping sentiment and punched out with Heartfelt Hexagon punch.
