Celebration Tidings Plaid Tidings

Helloo! How are you liking the new catalogue?

I have been reaching for this set again and again! Not only is it useful for pretty card front layers, but did you know you can use them as toppers for cello bags with goodies in them? Watch out for future projects. It’s definitely on the cards closer to Christmas time!

There are other elements like cutting decorative apertures as I’ve done here. This is the smaller of the two sizes of the same patterned die.

Celebration Labels Dies

Stampin’ Up! announced that they’d become aware that one of the four accent dies in the Celebration Labels Dies (item 153570) is sized slightly smaller than the other three (see visual). While this means one of the four pieces is not sized as originally intended, it still provides three pieces for use with consistent sizes. As the size difference does not negatively impact a successful crafting experience, they will not re-manufacture or replace this die set.

It is a known difference and is not considered a product defect. Although the accent piece is sized slightly smaller, it is still a functional die. Sometimes small mistakes can turn into creative possibilities.

Adding texture

To add texture without making the card look too busy, here’s another trick. Use embossing folders. There’s such a variety to choose from and I love how it can make a card “pop”.

Of course there is an order to achieving this look so do have a look at my free video tutorial.
