Coming soon – Nested treat boxes, another sneak peek from the soon to be launched September-December 2023 Mini catalogue. There are eight boxes in a pack and the inner box nestles into a larger outer one. They’re also food safe and are pretty sturdy.
You can decorate it any way you wish, singly, or glued together in groups of 4 as illustrated in the catalogue. If you add numbers, then it could easily work together as an advent calendar. This means having to purchase at least 3 packs for the countdown to Christmas!
For today, I demonstrate how to decorate them singly. I used the Christmas Classics Photopolymer stamp set which is part of the Joy of Christmas Suite Collection because the Precious Pinecones stamp set doesn’t have any sentiments.

These stamps are reversible meaning you can stamp on both sides. The box on the left illustrates using the reverse side of the ribbon stamp. I stamped off first so that it would be a lighter colour. Then clean the stamp and flip it over to the other side. Ink it up and stamp on top of the previously stamped image without stamping off and you get this shadow effect of the bow.
The box on the right shows what the stamped images look like without this extra step.
Decorating the box
There’s no hard or fast rule – all you need is coloured card stock and some pretty patterned paper. Choose a stamp set that has sentiments small enough to fit on the box.
