MDS MONDAY, CELEBRATE ANY DAY – HYBRID CARD

Hi everyone – MDS Monday!  A hybrid project today – what does that entail?  It means you design a project in My Digital Studio, print it and then add extra layers or embellishments.

The picture above shows a  5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ landscape card which is one of the greeting card Designer Templates in MDS. I then set about changing the background DSP, wording etc and the picture below shows what it looked like when I’d finished.

I then saved it as a jpeg file and saved another copy in my photo program and printed  four to an A4 sheet on ordinary Whisper White card stock.

These were then trimmed to size and adhered to a Bermuda Bay card base and I punched little flowers with the itty bitty punch trio and added some pearls to complete the card.  I designed these as “thank you” cards to all the ladies (allocated to my area) who had taken part in the Prize Draw at the show in Sandown early in September 2013.  This is where MDS came into its own.  I designed once, had as many copies as I needed printed, then it was just a question of gluing and sticking – super quick and very satisfying!

You can see the flower layer here better.  So, do you think you may be tempted to give it a try?
