Clean & Simple Sympathy Card

A clean and simple sympathy card is life’s necessity. Even our furry friends eventually leave this mortal coil and are a much valued member of your family. Their loss is no less felt and it is heartbreaking to have to say “good-bye”.

Words seem so inadequate at times like these, and sending a card just to let your friend know you’re thinking of them can help to comfort and heal.

There is a Host stamp set called “Better Places” and it just seemed appropriate to use it on this occasion. I simply stamped the scene in the retired Seaside Spray colour on Basic White card stock. This was put on a Misty Moonlight mat layer and then adhered to the Seaside Spray card base. In my defence, Seaside Spray was still current at the time I created this card.

I stamped the pooch in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it in with Crumb Cake stampin’ blends combo, then fussy cut the image and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals. As a finishing touch, I added the little hearts.

The entire sentiment from Pampered Pets reads “Always in your heart… ” and underneath, “So sorry for your loss” configured in the one stamp.I used the Stamparatus to help mask the bottom part of the sentiment, stamped “Always in your heart…” on the front. Then reversed the masking so that it only stamped “So sorry for your loss” on the inside. They should have received the card by now, and it’s safe to post and I hope it brought them some comfort.
