Tower block fold card

Eek! I recently discovered this fancy tower block fold card. It sounds complicated, doesn’t it, but there’s a method in the “madness”. I try to make the instructions as easy as I can for its execution! Evening Evergreen is such a rich green, and I love the combination of greens in the Pansy Petals 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper Series pack.

See the pansy taking pride of place in the middle? Several component die cuts make up the pansy and behind that pansy is actually a mini card. The flower with the bowed “head” at the bottom acts as a “closure”. What I love about the dies in this set is that some of the dies cut and emboss at the same time. This means you don’t need to stamp the pansy images if you don’t want to. By simply using all the die cut elements, you gradually build the pansy into this amazing thing of beauty!

Grab a cuppa and watch the video – I get in such a muddle when I try and write instructions. It’s easier that way and I’m all for easy!

Oops! I only discovered the missing clip after my video had published so have had to make another video with the missing clip. So here’s the one with the missing clip! It’s around 10:48 after scoring the lines in between the cut lines.

If you like fancy folds, I think the Pansy Petals would suit this type of fold quite well. What do you think? Hmm, food for thought, I may give it a try and share it in one of my Sunday posts.
