A fancy fold card with Pretty Pumpkins but not that fancy because it’s just a centre gatefold. I’m going to wish you an early Happy Thanksgiving day for tomorrow 25 November, as I don’t normally post on a Thursday.
To think how I shied away from the Blackberry Beauty Suite in the beginning and now I can’t stop using it! lol! It’s on pages 44-45 in the July-December 2021 mini. The rich colours especially with the gold foiling in the specialty designer papers are stunning.
How I used the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera pack
For this card, I used the Blackberry Beauty ephemera pack. The pack contains 40 pieces of a variety of laser-cut frames, floral images and even an owl on the wing, as well as labels in multiple shapes. They are ideal for layering as accents on larger projects or for labelling gifts with artistically designed tags.
I used the pretty labels and the frame which I mounted on a Blackberry Bliss mat layer to make it “pop”.
From the Pretty Pumpkins bundle, I stamped, white embossed and die cut the smaller pumpkin. The larger pumpkin was die cut from an adhesive backed piece of gold foil. I traced the filigree die shape on a scrap of Cajun Craze card stock then adhered the gold pumpkin filigree die cut on top.
Both these pumpkins were carefully aligned with the bottom edge of the card base so that it would provide more stability for the gatefold.
Scalloped Contour Dies
Instead of the normal mat layer, I decided to use the 3rd largest scalloped contour die and added one of the floral laser cut images from the Blackberry Beauty ephemera pack.
In this photo, you can see how I popped the inner part of the laser cut label up on dimensionals. The sentiment was too large for the label, so I did a “workaround”. I white embossed the sentiment on Blackberry Bliss card stock then fussy cut a portion of the sentiment and adhered it to the label.
