How to alter Memory & More cards

Today I’m sharing how to alter Memory & More cards using the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More card pack. This is week 9 of 12 in my Christmas Countdown Series. In a previous post I shared how you could dress up gift packaging of the Kraft Gift boxes which you can see HERE.

If you’re looking for inexpensive gifts, what better way than to make some generic cards to put in these Kraft Gift boxes. They would make fabulous gifts for teachers, or for someone who isn’t independent and is unable to go shopping for themselves.

To conceal what’s inside the box, I chose to cover up the window with the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper.

Instead of using the 3″ x 4″ Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More cards for memory keeping projects, I used it on the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More cards and envelops card bases. These already have a pre-printed scalloped mat layer.

What’s inside?

I made up six different cards altogether with different designs and tied them with Real Red 3/8″ (1.3 cm) Ruffled Ribbon to reduce the bulk so that it would fit inside the Kraft Gift box.

The stamp sets I used are from the Painted Christmas Suite, “Christmas Season” and “Christmas to Remember” and I also used the Seasonal Labels dies which is bundled with Christmas Season.

Cards

Choose any stamp set or dies in your stash to create generic cards. I chose three different styles of “thank you” cards , “thinking of you”, “hello” or “anything is possible. All you need extra is some Basic White card stock, a few ink pads, acrylic blocks to mount your stamps on and you’re good to go!

You can take a peek at all the ones I made in my video, but I only demonstrated the Hand-penned Petal card featured in the picture.
