Hexagonal Stepper Box – Beautiful Shapes

I created this Hexagonal Stepper box with the Beautiful Shapes dies for Easter. During the design process I went through a gamut of different sizes then had a light bulb moment and thought of the hexagons in the Beautiful Shapes die set. There’s method in the madness! I was also running out of current Designer papers and had to conserve some to use for demonstration in my video content!

When it’s closed, the box looks simply like a hexagonal tower.

Behold the surprise when it opens to reveal a hexagonal stepper box card. I wanted a true hexagon, so I used the largest hexagon of the Beautiful Shapes die set, created sides, then once the sides were joined together, I inserted it into the die so that the hexagon would remain true to its shape. I then adhered the largest hexagon to the sides and trimmed off any excess to create the hexagonal trays for each tier.
