Birthday card – Wonderful World

This Sunday I have a birthday card using the Wonderful World Sale-a-bration bundle which is FREE subject to a qualifying purchase of £90 before shipping/handling. The Wonderful World stamp set doesn’t have any sentiments, so I paired it with the Very Best Occasions stamp set to create this birthday card. The sentiment was white embossed at the bottom front of the card and I added Basic Rhinestone jewels for that extra “sparkle”.

Looks can be deceptive. It looks like a normal card but wait …….

……..when you open it look what happens! Was that a surprise?

Card details

The card front was dry embossed with the new Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder from the July-December 2022 mini. One of the sheets from the Wonderful World 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper pack had huge floral images, so I fussy cut the entire sheet and selected a few to adhere a bouquet on the card front.

To create the this fun fold, I simply folded the front of the card in half and adhered a second layer the same size as the card base on this half. This layer was dry embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder as a background.

Rectangular Postage Stamp punch

On another sheet of Wonderful World DSP, there were smaller flowers too. These fitted into the Rectangle Postage Stamp punch. So as not to waste any, I re-inserted the images in the punch to create different size ones as dictated by the placement of each flower on the sheet but I was only able to get a handful that could be punched out whole depending on the spacing of each floral image.

Inside card

I matted a coordinating punched floral image onto a piece of Orchid Oasis scrap and adhered it in the bottom right corner to complete the card.

I hope you liked this birthday card made with the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. To be honest, fussy cutting isn’t my thing but because the floral images were quite big, the logical solution was to cut them up. If you’re multi-tasking, you can cut away whilst you’re watching TV. That’s exactly what I did and it was less of a chore and before I knew it, the whole sheet had been cut and I had a bowl full of flowers to choose from!
