Little square cards – Cottage Wreaths

This Sunday I have some sweet little square cards made with Cottage Wreaths to share. One of my team who relocated to the Lake District was visiting in this area recently and we got together to do some stamping. This was one of the little projects we did, some sweet little 3″x 3″ cards which will fit into the little square envelops which Stampin’ Up! supplies.

It’s ever so easy to duplicate and they’re absolutely perfect as little gift cards to go with presents in lieu of using tags, just for a change.

How to make little square cards

1. Card base: Cut Crumb Cake card stock 6″x 3″ (15.2 cm x 7.6 cm) fold in half.
2. Front mat layer: Crumb cake cut at 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” (7 cm x 7 cm)
3. Stamp wreath in Evening Evergreen on Crumb Cake card stock and die cut it with the Country Wreaths dies.
4. Tie a bow to top right of wreath with linen thread.
5. Adhere wreath with dimensionals to Front mat layer then adhere to card base.
6. Inside card: Cut Very Vanilla card stock 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” (7 cm x 7 cm)
7. Stamp the berries in Merry Merlot ink in the bottom right corner of the Very Vanilla card stock.
8. Ink up holly leaf stamp in Evening Evergreen and stamp it next to the berries and adhere Very Vanilla piece to the inside of card.
9. Lastly stamp the sentiment Merry Christmas in Merry Merlot on a ⅜” strip of Very Vanilla card stock. Trim that to desired width.
10. Cut another strip of ⅜” Very Vanilla card stock the same width as wreath. Cut flag ends on each end.
11. Adhere stamped sentiment with dimensionals to the flag end strip.
12. Attach dimensionals in the centre of the aperture of wreath on card base mat layer and adhere completed sentiment on top.
13. Lastly apply Pearlised Enamel Effects on the wreath and set aside for it to dry properly. It may take up to an hour depending on how large your dots are. I usually leave mine overnight and forget about them till the morning just to be sure!

Optional – you can stamp your 3″ x 3″ envelops with the holly and berry stamp if you wish
