Day at the Farm Series – Pt 1 of 4

Day at the Farm Series is on how to make cards with just the papers without the coordinating stamps or dies. These papers are one of the options you can get for free during Sale-a-bration from 5 January – 28 February 2023 subject to a qualifying order of £45 excluding shipping/handling.

The On the Farm Bundle is on page 34 of the January-April 2023 mini and you may wish to purchase it. The bundle price is £48.50 which qualifies for these free papers. However, the stamps and dies may not appeal to you. I thought it would be a good idea to show case these papers using alternative stamps and dies or punches to make equally stunning cards without the coordinating bundle.

Cycling is such a popular pastime these days. Often on weekends we see cyclists out en masse in the countryside and this sheet from the Day at the Farm DSP is just perfect for this card.

Card front

1. Card Base – Basic White Thick 5 ⅞” x 8 ¼” (15 cm x 21 cm) folded in half
2. Cut Day at the Farm DSP 5 ⅞” x 4 ⅛” (15 cm x 10.5 cm)
3. Use a foam adhesive sheet and peel off protective layer on one side and adhere a piece of Sahara Sand on top.
4. Die cut the cyclist from the Greatest Journey dies. Use a blending brush to darken the contours to add depth with Sahara Sand ink.
5. Stamp the Sentiment with Early Espresso ink on Sahara Sand cardstock. Create flag ends on one end and tie some linen thread on the other.
6. Adhere to card front in top left corner.

Inside card

• Cut a Basic White piece 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm)
• Mount stamps in stamparatus and stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso and the trees in Garden Green
• Adhere inside card ensuring there are even borders on all four sides.
