I’m so pleased with how this Elegant Borders card with Queen Bee stamps and dies turned out. I’ve had this set for some time, but haven’t had the opportunity to use it till now.
Both the Elegant Borders Dies and the Hello, Irresistile Blooms 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) DSP are online exclusives. I used the DSP to cover the card front and cut a panel in Basic White using the Elegant Borders Dies.
I adhered the reverse side of the Irresistible Blooms DSP for the card on the Basic White border panel. It was too pretty to cover up!
Technique
- The bee is rather large. One way to add colour is to use a sponge dauber to add ink to a stamp in different colours. This gave the bee a multi-colour blended look to echo the fusion of colour in the DSP.
- Another way, is to use a blending brush. Using the same colour palette as that used in the Irresistible Blooms DSP. I did this for the inside of the card.
