This Sunday I’ve created five cards with the Greatest Journey stamps and dies. This set is sadly retiring and I’ve made several cards as a last “hurrah” before it disappears for good.
It’s also a sneak peek at one of the new 2023-2025 In colours and this one is called Copper Clay. The card on the left is at a Beginner’s level with just simple stamping. I have stepped it up. for an avid crafter for the card on the right – it includes the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder, the Greatest Journey dies, the three twine combo pack with Coastal Cabana, Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie and also the enamel sticker icons which you can colour with alcohol markers too.
Enjoy the Journey 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP
The cards below showcases the glorious Enjoy the Journey 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Papers and also the collection of Greatest Journey dies.
Card on the left fits into a C6 envelop and is a standard card. I stamped the moon in Versamark and white embossed it and die cut the largest cloud to adhere with dimensionals. The tent were die cut from DSP and the hiker holding the lamp was die cut from Polished Pink card stock.
For the long slim card, I die cut several “running man” figures in different colours. I adhered these directly on to the DSP. The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Mango Melody card stock and adhered with dimensionals on a Polished Pink mat layer.
Fun Fold card
My final card is this gatefold card – yes, it does meet in the middle! Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of it closed. The card base is longer than usual – it measures 5 ½” x 12″ (14 cm x 30 cm). On the long side, score at 2″, 4″ , 8″ and 10″ (5 cm, 10 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm).
I cut the DSP so it would make a continuous pattern. The silhouette and the mountain range and floral pieces were die cut in Basic Black. The silhouette and part of the mountain is adhered to the last panel only. The other portion has a magnet which attaches itself to its other half which is hidden underneath the first panel of DSP on the left.
The greeting was white embossed and I also used one of the enamel sticker icons. I used the two smaller cloud dies to adhere to the first panel.
Flip the card over to the back – I cut a different pattern of Enjoy the Journey DSP, also in a continuous pattern to fit the 4 narrow panels. The centre panel was cut in Basic White and I used blending brushes to add colour in Garden Green, Coastal Cabana and Polished Pink for some continuity. It also gave me the opportunity to use the other stamps to set the scene.
In a previous post, I’d used the bicycle die which you can see HERE and a pop up block card using this stamp set and dies as well as Mountain Air photopolymer stamp set. Mountain Air is a reversible stamp set and matches the scenery. It is also on the Last Chance list.
Well that’s it for today, do you have a favourite? Thanks for popping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
