Stocking filler treat Merriest Trees Bundle

This is episode 10 of 12 in my Christmas Countdown series and I have a cute stocking filler treat which could also be used as a table favour using the Merriest Trees Bundle. I found these hand-made Drinking Hot Chocolate with marshmallows on a stick and thought they would make wonderful stocking fillers. They could also be used as table favours at each place setting. In the Merriest Trees Dies set, there are different size tree dies, and I simply die cut one of the smaller trees and left it blank so you could write the name on it. To cut the aperture in the front of box, I used the smallest elongated hexagonal die from Nested Essentials Dies.

Front of box

  1. Adhere the DSP (designer series paper) to the where the front panel of the box will be.
  2. Fold back the flaps of the box so that it will fit through the die cutting machine. Position elongated hexagonal die on the front panel of the box with cutting edge face down, secure with low tack tape so the the die doesn’t move and cut through both layers of DSP and card stock.

Back of box

  1. From a scrap of Gold adhesive backed glimmer paper, die cut the base stand for the tree and the tinsel and star elements using the Merriest Trees dies.
  2. Die cut the largest tree from scrap of Shaded Spruce card stock.
  3. Remove backing tape from Gold adhesive backed glimmer paper for the tree base stand and adhere this to the back of the box panel first.
  4. Attach dimensionals to back of shaded spruce tree and adhere on top of tree base stand.
  5. Adhere tinsel pieces in a criss-cross formation on the tree and lastly add the star at the top with mini dimensional.
