Gift box – Bloom Boutique Collection. Hurrah! I can share my gift box project from the Bloom Boutique Collection at last! You can find it on pages 16-17 of the new May-August 2026 catalogue which has just launched.

The Bloom Boutique Suite Collection is packed with creative must-haves. Soft patterned papers, delicate stamps, and scalloped designs which will add artistry to cards, scrapbook pages, and gift packaging. Its coordinating dies, window boxes, and butterfly accents bring playful detail for a layered style. Simply add ink, cardstock, and adhesive to complete your projects.

Scalloped Window Boxes

The scalloped window boxes are part of the suite. Just for a change, I thought I’d feature the box rather than a card. I’ve decorated the box with the stamps and dies from Boutique Blossoms and Scalloped Blossoms bundles and also Crafted with Care stamp set which has “for you” sentiment in it.

How to cut a scallop aperture for box lid front

In order for the scallop to align with the pre-cut scallop window on the box, here’s a tip on how you can achieve it. Ask me how I know! I make the mistakes so you don’t have to!

1. Take the 4th largest Scallop die and align with scallop window on box then tuck 4 pieces of low tack tape with sticky side face up and insert it underneath die as shown.
2. Middle picture : Place a 3 ½” x 3 ½” (9 cm x 9 cm) Hydrangea Hue card stock on top and ensure it is firmly attached to the low tack tape underneath before flipping it over. Once flipped, the die will be face down.
3. Picture on right : Apply low tack tape as shown over the die to prevent it from shifting and run it through the die cutting machine to cut the aperture. Save the scallop to decorate inside of box later.

Decorating the inside lid

1. Cut window sheet at 3″ x 3″ (7.5 x 7.5 cm) and die cut DSP with Hydrangea Hue pattern with the 3rd smallest scallop die.
2. Apply adhesive to the back of the scallop you want to show (underneath the clear scalloped window from the top) and adhere to window sheet.
3. Select a different pattern DSP (I used the one with Golden Glow colours – its reverse side is Crisp Cantaloupe) – cut at 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” (8.5 x 8.5 cm) and adhere it over the back of the window sheet to hide the adhesive on the scalloped piece – pictured on the right.
4. Adhere the Hydrangea Hue scallop circle left over from cutting the aperture earlier.
5. Basic White card stock – with 3rd smallest die, die cut a scallop circle and stamp “thank you” and some floral details using Hydrangea Hue, Peaceful Pine and Crisp Cantaloupe inks as pictured on the right. Adhere on top of Hydrangea Hue scallop piece.
6. Adhere back box flaps to back of box.

Box sides and front

1. Cut 3 pieces Hydrangea Hue layers for front and both sides at ¾” x 3 ¼” (2 cm x 8.5 cm).
2. Hydrangea Hue DSP pattern cut 3 pieces for front and both sides at ½” x 3 ¼” (1.5 cm x 8.5 cm).
3. Adhere DSP pieces to Hydrangea Hue pieces then adhere to box front and sides.

Assembling front of box

1. Align Hydrangea Hue scallop aperture piece over the Scallop window so that there is an even border on all the scallops.
2. Mark in pencil ⅛” in on all 4 sides and trim each side in order to keep the aperture centred.
3. On scrap of Basic White, stamp large flower, buds and leaf. and die cut with corresponding dies. Apply dimensionals to the back of the flowers and leaves and adhere to box front lid as shown.
4. Hydrangea Hue scrap : Stamp “For you” in Versamark. White emboss and heat set. Cut flag end and adhere as shown
5. Tie bow and attach with glue dots.
6. Lastly add a trio of 2026-2028 In Color butterflies.

How to Close box

1. To close box, tuck in the sides and front of box.
2. The semi-circular bit should stick out to make it easier to open box.
