Luxe Foliage Leaves Series – Part 1. The Luxe Foliage 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Papers is the Product of the Month in September. Luxe Foliage Pt 1

I used the Pecan Pie Luxe Foliage sheet with the gold foiled leaves and combined it with the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle to make this autumnal card.

Card Front Cutting guide

1. Card base in Cajun Craze cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
2. Luxe Foliage cut at 2 ¾” x 5 ¾” (7 cm x 14.5 cm).
3. Peaceful Pine two-tone card stock cut at 2″ x 5 ¾” (5 cm x 14.5 cm)
4. Copper Metal Effects strip ¼” x 5 ¾” (0.6 cm x 14.5 cm)
5. Gold Metal Effects strip ⅛” x 5 ¾” (0.3 cm x 14.5 cm)
6. Scrap of Basic White to die cut flowers and greeting. Die cut 2 large flowers and 4 smaller flowers, one large and 2 small flower centres.

Inside card Cutting guide

1. Basic White 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
2. Copper Metal Effect strip ¼” x 4 ⅜” (0.6 cm x 11 cm)
3. Gold Metal Effect strip ⅛” x  4 ½” (0.3 cm x 11.5 cm)
4. Fussy cut leaves from Luxe Foliage sheet.

Assembling card

Front of card

1. Align and adhere Luxe Foliage piece with the top, bottom and right side edge of card base front.
2. Butt up Copper Metal Effects strip against Luxe Foliage layer and adhere. Then align and adhere Gold Metal Effects strip on top of Copper Metal Effects strip.
3. Apply dimensionals to back of Peaceful Pine piece, align top and bottom edges and the right edge of Gold Metal Effects strip and adhere on top of Luxe Foliage piece.
4. Use a blending brush to add colour to all the flower petals. Colour the flower centres with Pecan Pie Stamping blends. Stagger flower layers and adhere with adhesive. Lastly, add flower centres with dimensionals.
5. Arrange on Peaceful Pine layer – apply adhesive underneath middle of flower so that you have room to tuck in the fussy cut leaves.
6. Once the flowers have been adhered, adhere leaves around it as desired. Cut extra if needed, I cut 5 clusters.
7. Lastly stamp strip of Basic White to gold emboss sentiment. Cut flag ends both ends and use blending brush to add a bit of Pecan Pie colour if you wish.
8. Embellish with Adhesive backed Metallic Gems.

Inside card

1. Partially adhere ¼” Copper Metal Effects strip to left of Basic White layer and the ⅛” Gold Metal Effects strip next to it. Trim bottom at an angle, then add more adhesive and adhere the rest of the strip to the card.
2. Stamp butterfly with Pecan Pie ink at bottom right corner.
3. Adhere more fussy cut Luxe Foliage leaves at bottom of card as pictured before adhering the Basic White layer to the inside of card base.
