How to make an envelop treat bag

Today I’m going to show you how to make an envelop treat bag from the humble envelop. With a little modification you can transform it into a gusseted treat bag.

How to transform the envelop to being a treat bag

Metric measurements are in brackets.

Scoring

1. Open up the flap with gummy side face up and offer it up to trimmer so that the flap is to the right of the trimmer’s cutting groove.
2. Align right edge of flap at ¾” (2 cm) and cut off the gummy part.
3. Score the 2 sides and bottom of envelop at ¾” (2 cm) .
4. Flip over and repeat to reinforce score lines on both sides.
5. Reinforce score lines.
6. Decorate as you wish before puffing out the envelop to form a gusseted bag.
