Easy fun fold – Relaxing Waterside bundle. The Relaxing Waterside Bundle is from the Waterside Retreat Suite collection in the May-September catalogue on pages 20-21. The bundle can be found on page 40.

It also co-ordinates with the very first Paper Pumpkin kit that was being offered globally from May onwards. You can see a whole bunch of alternate cards I made with that kit HERE.

Today, I’m making a “Father’s Day” card using the stamp set and the gorgeous papers which has soft, painterly images and sun-faded hues. Images of life vests, oars, buoys and bicycles and seagulls – each sheet of this beautifully designed paper captures a beloved element of lake life. There are two cut-apart sheets which offer the perfect opportunity to add scenic touches to your handmade cards or scrapbook pages.

Father’s Day card

Today’s project is an easy fun fold for a Father’s Day card.

Cutting guid

1. Card base : Gray Granite cut at 4 ⅛” x 5 ¾” (10.5 cm x 14.5 cm)
2. Misty Moonlight layer : 4″ x 5 ⅝” (10 cm x 14 cm)
3. DSP : Waterside Retreat DSP cut at 5 ⅞” x 5 ½” (15 x 14.5 cm). Refer to picture on the right. On the long side, score DSP at 3 ⅞” (10 cm).
4. Mini card base : Gray Granite cut at 4″ x 6″ (10 x 15 cm). On long side score at 3″ (7.5 cm).
5. Cut Basic White for inside mini card at 2 ⅞” x 3 ⅞” (9.5 x 14.5 cm)

Mini card layers

Mini card front

1. Misty Moonlight layer : 2 ⅞” x 3 ⅞” (7 cm x 9.5 cm). [Oops! The arrow in the picture should be pointing to the Misty Moonlight layer on the mini card and not the card base one].
2. DSP Waterside Retreat DSP 2 ¾” x 3 ¾” (6.5 cm x 9 cm)
3. Stylish Shapes circle die : #1 being the smallest and #6 being the largest circle die, nest #4 and #3 together on Basic White cardstock to die cut a circle frame.
4. With #4 Stylish Shapes circle die, cut a scene from Waterside Retreat DSP. Align and adhere Basic White circle frame with dimensionals to die cut scene, then adhere directly to card front of mini card toward the top as pictured.
5. Fussy cut life vest and the boat fender elements from Waterside Retreat DSP and adhere as shown in picture.
6. Stamp and sentiment and die cut with flagged label die from Stylish Shapes and adhere to mini card front as shown.
7. Thread linen thread through Loose Anchor Trinket and adhere to bottom right of mini card.

Inside mini card

1. Stamp seagulls from Relaxing Waterside stamp set in Grey Granite on DSP and mini card base as shown.
2. Also stamp “Relax” and the bulrush in the bottom right corner.
3. Adhere to inside of mini card leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
4. Close DSP and overlap inside of Mini card, then close front of Mini card on top of DSP flap to finish.
