Clean simple card with Summer Happiness

Clean, simple card with Summer Happiness. This is a new online release for July which will be available from 1 July 2026. Today’s post is linked to my previous post HERE where I simply gave a couple of tips on how to use the extra wide washi tape.

My task today is to create a card with the mounted Washi Tape. The Summer Happiness Bundle will die cut the elements. So here’s the clean, simple card I made.

Cutting guide

1. Card base : Coastal Cabana cut at 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm) folded in half.
2. Melon Mambo mat layer : 2 ¼: x 5 ¾” (5.5 cm x 14.5 cm)
3. Slowly unroll wide Summer Happiness Washi Tape on to Basic White card stock and use bone folder as you unroll it to attach to Basic White cardstock to prevent air bubbles and/or creasing. Trim to 2″ x 5 ¾” (5 cm x 14.5 cm)

Inside card

1. Die cut Melon Mambo layer 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm). Adhere to inside of card leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
2. Adhere Basic White layer 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm) on top also leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
3. Select a couple of die cut pieces to decorate inside in bottom right corner.

Die cut elements

1. Die cut images with corresponding dies – keep them somewhere safe to use as and when you need them.
2. Also die cut camera and the sun.

Decorative Masks & card assembly

1. Secure water decorative mask over closed landscape card and use blending brushes to add colour to card front with Coastal Cabana ink.
2. Centre and adhere Melon Mambo strip to middle of card front
3. Adhere 2″ x 5 ¾” strip of Summer Happiness covered Basic White card stock on top with even borders top and bottom to front of card.
4. Stamp “greeting” with versamark ink and white emboss.
5. Adhere camera and sun die cuts with dimensionals as pictured above.
6. Add Rhinestone jewels as pictured.

Inside card

1. Adhere Melon Mambo layer first, leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
2. Next adhere the Basic White layer.
3. Choose a flower and the pink sunglasses to adhere ti bottom right inside of card.
4. Lastly add rhinestones.
