Generic card – Echoes of Detail

Generic card – Echoes of Detail. I’ve foiled with the Echoes of Detail dies before, but the stamp set has grungy images especially if you like the distressed vibe for your cards. I especially love the damask one, but there are bricks, cracked paving, dripping paints some of which is echoed in the hot foil dies.

Sneak Peek

There’s another sneak peek of a sentiment I used “especially for you” from the Box of Joy stamp set which won’t be available until 1 September. It has dies which coordinate so that you can make your own customised gift boxes and personalise them with the stamps and dies.

Generic card

Today’s card is suitable for any occasion. You can add another greeting on the inside of the card to suit the occasion at a later date. We always need an emergency card sometimes, and more often than not there’s little time available to make one on the spot.

Cutting Guide

Front of card
  1. Card base : Hydrangea Hue cut at 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm) folded in half. Stamp damask image in top left corner and paint image in the bottom right corner with Secret Sea ink.
  2. Torn corners layer : Two-tone Hydrangea Hue card stock cut at 3 ⅞” x 5 ¼” (10 cm x 13.5 cm). Tear top left and bottom right corner toward you.
  3. Hot foil hashed pattern in silver on the torn piece on the lighter side of two tone card stock. Stamp cracked paving image in the bottom left and top right corner as pictured. Apply dimensionals on the back and adhere to card front with even borders top and bottom, and equidistant on both sides.
  4. Hot foil and die cut next to largest Flourish & Frames label with silver foil. Stamp the greeting (this is a sneak peek of a stamp set called Box of Joy)
  5. Apply adhesive to torn layer and attach Hydrangea Hue and Adhesive Backed Blooms.
Inside card
  1. Cut Basic White layer at 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
  2. Stamp linear image and smaller damask images on each and as pictured above at the bottom of the card with Hydrangea Hue ink.

Stampin’ Hot Foil System

This is a new tool by Stampin’ Up! with special Hot Foil Dies. If you missed the post introducing the machine and information all about it, here’s a video to explain how the system works. Please be aware this machine is designed to fit Stampin’ Up!’s larger Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and was tested with their own line of products. It would render the 1 year warranty on the Stampin’ Hot Foil System null and void if you use it on non-Stampin’ Up! machines which may not fit.

Also be sure you’re ordering the machine with the right plug for your market. Foils and dies have to be purchased separately.

If you purchase the Stampin’ Hot Foil System before Jan 4, 2027, it will also include the Metallic Magic Craft Class for free. The class will cost £28.00 to purchase when the free class offer ends.
