July online exclusives goes live today! There are 3 new seasonal suite collections which include Halloween, Christmas and a Floral one suitable for any occasion. Also several bundles too numerous to mention. If you’re super organised there is a quite a few Christmas bundles to choose from and a sweet stitched stocking bundle from the Christmas Suite collection to whet your appetite!

Personally, I find it difficult to get enthused about Christmas when it’s the middle of summer so my first foray delving into July’s online exclusives is something that won’t break the bank. This is the Gilded Wings Accents which will bring a golden glow to your designs. The laser-cut sheet includes delicate gold foil butterflies in a mix of styles and sizes. Simply add adhesive and let these light-catching elements elevate your card with an eye popping special finishing touch!

Quick simple birthday card

You’d never guess that the paper I used is actually a Christmas paper. It’s called “A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper” which is from a 12″x 12″ pack of DSP from A Stitched Season Suite Collection and is also one of July’s online exclusives. I love that the papers are double sided designs. If the Christmas side doesn’t suit, you can always use the reverse.

Cutting guide

Front of card

1. Card base : Basic White Thick cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
2. Gold Foil : cut ¼” (0.5 cm) frame 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm) from gold foil piece.
3. A Stitched Season DSP : cut at 3 ⅝” x 5 ¼” (9 cm x 13.5 cm)
4. Gold emboss on a scrap of Basic White and trim to desired size. Adhere to gold foil layer, then on to a Peaceful Pine layer – each ⅛” larger than previous layer.
5. Attach Gilded Wings Accents as pictured and embellish with Ladybug Garden Epoxy shapes.

1. Peaceful Pine : 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
2. Basic White: 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm)
3. A Stitched Season DSP : ¾” x 3 ¾” (2 cm x 9.5 cm)
4. Embellish with Gilded Wings Accents
