Halloween Countdown Series – 2 fun folds plus flash sale! More on that later. The Oh My Fright Bundle is a July 26 Online Exclusive and is part of the Frightfully Fun Suite Collection. I have 2 fun folds today – somehow I got my weeks mixed up or I’d accidentally deleted the post but I still wanted to share. One is a pop out element inside and the other is a bridge fold. So grab a cuppa! It’s a long post! Incidentally two items I used are on the last chance list – the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders and the Frightfully Fun Times DSP & sticker sheet.

Cutting guide

Card base & front of card

1. Card base : Basic Black cut at 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm) folded in half.
2. DSP layer card front : 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
3. Basic Black layer cut at 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm) emboss with Swirls of Magic embossing folder
4. Adhere one of the Everyday Arches remnants from die cutting the inside piece and embellish with stickers from Frightfully Fun Times DSP sticker sheet as pictured.

Back of card base

1. Adhere Basic White layer cut at 3 ¾” x 5 ¼” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm) to back with an even border on all 4 sides.
2. Use the remaining remnant of die cut Everyday Arches and adhere to right side of Basic White layer as pictured.
3. Stamp bats and greeting with black ink (I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink which has been retired).

Pop-out inside of card

1. Frightfully Fun Times DSP & Sticker sheet – I used the Pumpkin Pie background one with the trees. I cut it in half at 6″ x 12″ then trimmed the bottom of the trees side so that it measured 4 ⅛” x 12″ (10.5 cm x 30.5 cm).
2. On the long side score at 3″, 6″ and 9″ (7.6 cm, 15.2 cm and 22.9 cm).
3. Fold in half along the 6″ (15.2 cm) score line, centre the 3rd smallest Everyday Arches die on the panel and die cut the apertures through both layers simultaneously.
4. Cut 2 Basic White pieces at 2 ¼” x 4″ (7 cm x 10.2 cm) and stamp images as pictured.

Assembling instructions

1. Adhere stamped white pieces inside card base just shy of centre score line.
2. Apply adhesive on the reverse side of end panels at each end.

1. Concertina fold the DSP piece and ensure the fold is pointing to the right. Stack the fold and place it about ⅛” behind right edge of card so that it will not be visible when card is closed.
2. Close stack, remove backing tape and close the front of the card on the left side on top of the right side to adhere it.
3. Turn the card so that it is now lying on its front. The end panel has now been adhered to front so the stack should fall into position when it is lying on its front. Simply remove backing tape, and close the back of the card on top of the stack to secure the right end panel to the inside back of the card.
4. Once both sides have been adhered, it should look like the picture on the right. Bear in mind, the card will not fold flat when fully opened on the inside.

Bridge fun fold

Today’s card is a fun fold using the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing folders. This set of three embossing folders adds lovely textured details for so many year-end occasions, from autumn leaves, Halloween bats, and Christmas candy canes. They’re a perfect way to elevate your seasonal cards and paper crafts! It also happens to be on the last chance list at a discount, so if you haven’t got it yet, take a look!

The bridge fold joins a loose bottom piece of card stock to the top of the card front which is attached to the card base.

Cutting guide

Card front

1. Very Vanilla Card base (see picture on right) cut at 7 ½” x 4 ⅛” (19 cm x 10.5 cm). On the long side, score at 1 ¾” (4.5 cm)
2. Cut 1 piece Very Vanilla for card front bottom (this needs to be aligned with bottom and 2 sides of card base after you’ve adhered the Black mat layer and DSP) so that you can adhere the Bridge piece (picture on the left).
3. Cut 2 pieces Basic Black mat layers at 3 ⅞” x 1 ½” (10 cm x 4 cm). Adhere one on the front fold at the top an the remaining one for the Very Vanilla piece in Step 2.
4. Frightfully Fun Times 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP cut 2 piceces – one for the top and the other for the bottom layers at 3 ⅝” x 1 ¼” (9.2 cm x 3.2 cm)

Bridge piece

1. Cut Bridge piece Basic Black 2 ⅛” x 4 ¼” (5.5 cm x 10.8 cm). This is wider so that it conceals the additional bridge piece on the inside of the card. Only partially apply adhesive to adhere bridge to top – ensure there is sufficient room for the Halloween greeting.
2. Once you’ve adhered the Black Mat layer and DSP to the bottom Very Vanilla piece of the card, align with the two sides and bottom, then adhere bottom of bridge to this piece.
3. Next cut a Very Vanilla Bridge piece 2″ x 4″ (5 cm x 10.2 cm) emboss with Halloween folder from Seasonal Cheer Mini trio of Embossing folders – there are 3, use the one for Halloween and adhere to bridge piece leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
4. Apply adhesive sheet on scrap of back of Basic Black card stock and die cut Oh My Fright tree die, then adhere to embossed Very Vanilla layer.

Inside card

1. A second Basic Black piece the same size as the bridge piece on the front of the card. This measures 2 ⅛” x 4 ¼” (5.5 cm x 10.8 cm). Apply adhesive to the back and adhere it to the back of the bridge piece on the front.
2. Cut another Very Vanilla piece at 2″ x 4″ (5 cm x 10.2 cm) and adhere on top of Basic Black layer leaving an even border on all 4 sides. This is where you address the recipient and put your signature.
3. Cut a narrower Basic Black piece 1 ⅞” x 5 ½” (4.8 cm x 14 cm) ignore measurement in pic – I made a typo error. Adhere on inside of card as shown – ensure that when card is closed, that this doesn’t peek out from the front.
4. Adhere reverse side of DSP cut at 1 ⅝” x 5 ⅜”(4 cm x 13.5 cm) on top of Basic Black layer.
5. Cut Very Vanilla piece at 1 ⅝” x 2 ⅝” (4 cm x 6.5 cm) and stamp greeting. Trim flag end on left side – apply dimensions below right underside of label and centre and adhere to card base.
6. Add Adhesive-backed bat below greeting as pictured to finish.
