Clean simple card – Opulent Oasis. In an earlier post, I focused on how to use the Impressions Plate for Impressions dies which you can see HERE. As promised I’m back today to show case a card I’ve made which is a clean and simple card with the Opulent Oasis Impressions die cut piece.

Simply use a sponge dauber to add colour to the embossed leaves and flowers, apply dimensionals to the back and adhere it straight on to a Basic White cards base, add a sentiment, embellishments and hey presto – card front complete!

Cutting guide

  1. Card base : Basic White 4 ⅛” x 8 ¼” (10.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
  2. Barely Blush 4 ⅛” x 5 ½” (10.5 cm x 14 cm) for die cutting Opulent Oasis Impressions die
  3. Peaceful Pine layer inside card : 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
  4. Basic White layer inside card : 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm)
  5. Scraps of Basic white and Peaceful pine for stamping and die cutting floral elements

How to assemble card

Card front
  1. Sponge daube Opulent Oasis Impressions die cut piece with Peaceful Pine ink on all the leaves.
  2. For the small flowers and part of the large flower, sponge daube with Barely Blush ink.
  3. Flower centre – sponge daube with Darling Duckling.
  4. Mask “friend” on stamp and only ink up “hello” in Peaceful Pine and stamp in bottom right corner.
  5. Add 2026-28 In Color Dots on card front as shown.
Inside card
  1. Adhere Peaceful Pine layer first, leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
  2. Stamp leaf sprig in bottom left corner and adhere die cut leaf sprig next to it.
  3. On scrap of Basic White, stamp and die cut flower then adhere on top of leaves.
  4. Flip Basic White layer over to reverse side and cut off any excess flower then adhere layer on top of Peaceful Pine layer leaving an even border on all 4 sides to complete card.
